GET TO KNOW!

Meet Dr. George Schudy

EXPERIENCE

I have been practicing for more than 35 years, and still look forward to coming to work each and every day! I love the field of orthodontics because I love people and youth. My profession provides an academic and intellectually stimulating vehicle for helping people, as well as an opportunity to interact with “kids of all ages!” A particular joy is to take a patient who is fearful and apprehensive and help his or her confidence grow. This is done with patience and small steps along and through the clinical process. Our office is a great place to be! I love to keep things lighthearted and often wear crazy ties and tell dumb jokes to patients! Everyone who works here enjoys patient interaction. Our team is outgoing and friendly making families feel comfortable as we strive to provide the highest quality, individualized orthodontic care.

FAMILY LIFE

I was born and raised here in Houston! I was only gone from this great place for the ten years after high school that it took to become an orthodontist. I then returned and have been serving the families in our community for more than 35 years. My wife, Judy, and I have three adult children, Elise, Richard and Robert. “Dr. Robert” is currently in the last year of his orthodontic residency and plans to join me in practice upon graduation in December of 2019.
As an avocation, I coached basketball for 30 years and for 20 of those years ran a non-profit, off-season basketball program to help high school boys get college scholarships.

I’m also a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Houston.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

I enjoy continuing education and follow my father as an enthusiastic student of our profession. I belong to several orthodontic study clubs of various sizes — one of which is the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, the oldest and most stringent of all societies in orthodontics. Angle membership requires full documentation of completed clinical cases to qualify for membership and an oral presentation of an original research project every 5 years.
